We understand this evening that all training sessions and activities regarding Swansea University FC have been halted until further notice due to an outbreak of the viral illness ‘Mumps’.
A statement released by their opposition this evening, Haverfordwest County read:
‘The FAW has agreed to postpone tonight’s game between Swansea University and Haverfordwest County on medical grounds. Several members of our opponents squad have mumps and it is sensible that the infection is controlled. HCAFC understand the situation and believe that a common sense decision has been made. We apologise for the lateness of this decision’.
The University side who currently sit 3 points clear at the top of table having only lost once so far this season went onto say ‘All club/squads training cancelled tonight and all club activities are on hold until further notice’.
